Our Story
Her Travel Tribe was born from a lifetime of adventure, independence, and a deep passion for meaningful connection through travel. At just 16 years old, I set off on my first solo journey as an exchange student to Japan. That life-changing experience opened my eyes to the wonder of exploring the world and planted the seed for a love of travel that has since taken me across more than 40 countries.
From teaching English in Japan for two years to working as an admin contractor in England, I’ve not only visited distant lands but lived them, immersing myself in cultures, building friendships, and learning to thrive far outside my comfort zone. Along the way, my camera has been a constant companion. With over 20 years of photography experience, I’ve captured not just landscapes and architecture, but the soul of the places and people I’ve encountered.
What I’ve learned from all this? That waiting around for others to be ready can mean missing out on the adventures that call to your soul. I know the pull of wanting to see the world, even if no one else is available to come along. I know what it’s like to crave the freedom of solo travel but still yearn for those magic moments shared over dinner, laughter with new friends, and stories told under the stars.
